Cocktail Sticks
Tasked with creating a new material from a commonly found object, I decided to create an abstract form from wood. To manufacture the wood I glued together over 300 cocktail sticks. I carved and filed into the new material discover an organic pattern that created a peek into how the wood was made. I also made a more symmetrical circle of cocktail sticks.
